Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
Plain English first: use RankParse for legitimate purposes, don't share your API key, and understand that data is from a quarterly crawl — not a live feed.
The service
- RankParse provides programmatic access to SEO data — backlinks, domain authority, page metadata, and related signals — derived from public, open web datasets. Access is via REST API using a bearer token (API key).
Accounts and API keys
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Do not share keys in public repositories or client-side code.
- If you believe a key has been compromised, revoke it immediately from your dashboard and generate a new one. We are not liable for usage that results from a leaked key.
Credits and billing
- RankParse is pay-as-you-go. Credits are purchased in one-time packs and deducted per API request. Credits never expire.
- All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds on credit packs except where required by law or at our sole discretion in cases of demonstrable billing error.
- Prices may change. Existing credit balances are always honored at the rate they were purchased.
Acceptable use
- You may use RankParse data to build products, conduct research, enrich datasets, and power automated workflows.
- You may not: resell raw API responses as a standalone data product; use the API to build a service that directly competes with RankParse's API offering; attempt to circumvent rate limits; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
Data accuracy
- Data is derived from public web crawl datasets and refreshed on a quarterly cadence. It is not real-time. We make no guarantees about the completeness, accuracy, or freshness of any data returned by the API.
- Do not use RankParse as the sole basis for decisions with significant financial or legal consequences.
Rate limits and availability
- The default rate limit is 60 requests per minute per API key. Exceeding this returns HTTP 429. We do not guarantee any specific uptime SLA on free or pay-as-you-go tiers.
Limitation of liability
- RankParse is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost profits or data loss.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Changes
- We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
