What a credit pays for
Everyone in your workspace spends from one balance. A lookup is charged before it runs, and the result shows what it cost and what is left. Looking up the same thing again costs the same as the first time.
When a lookup fails
Lookups rejected for a bad key, a missing permission, too many requests or a bad input are never charged. A lookup that fails after the charge, such as a timeout or a page we cannot reach, is refunded.
Empty and partial results
A website with no data returns an empty result and is billed normally. A partial result is billed too, except domain authority when the score cannot be read, which is refunded.
What costs nothing
Rank tracking, Search Console data, Google Ads keyword research, the approval inbox, outreach and your account pages cost no credits.
Data
Data you get
We build our own link data from public web data and add a few public datasets. Nothing is estimated from samples or bought from data brokers.
How fresh each answer is
- Backlinks, linking websites, authority, anchor text, top pages and link gaps
- Our own link data, refreshed every quarter. It shows the web as of the last refresh, not as of today.
- Page checks, technology detection, site health, sitemaps and structured data
- Checked live. The page you ask about is fetched every time.

- Results come from Google PageSpeed Insights and are kept for 24 hours for each page and device.

Where it stops
- It is a quarterly snapshot, not a live feed. Link changes between refreshes do not show until the next one.
- Daily link change monitoring is a different product category, and Ahrefs is the right tool for it.
- Link velocity, new links, lost links and internal links are not available yet. Those lookups say so and cost nothing.
- If a website has no data you get an empty result, never an estimate.
Straight talk
When Ahrefs or Semrush is the better choice.
RankParse does not have the same dataset as Ahrefs or Semrush. If your goal is the most extensive data possible and budget is not a constraint, they are the right choice. If you want your agent to have solid backlink, ranking and keyword data without a monthly bill, this is for you.

What we store
Your email, your usage records and the data you connect. Usage records are kept for 90 days, and account deletion starts with a 14-day window to change your mind.
Keys and payments
Access keys are stored in a scrambled form and shown only once, so we cannot read one back to you. Card payments go through Stripe, and we never see or store your card number.
You stay in control
Remove a key or a connection from the dashboard at any time. Outreach emails always wait for your approval, and page submissions ask first by default.
Terms and support
The Terms cover acceptable use, billing and data accuracy, and a Data Processing Agreement is available for customers in the EU.

The deal
The included credits are added to your workspace. You spend them on the lookups listed in the credits section, from your agent, the browser extension or your own code.
Lifetime refers to the credits: they never expire, so they stay in your account until you use them. It is not a promise of endless lookups, and the credits run out as you spend them.
It may. This deal is not a promise that its price stays. We may close it or change the price later, and buyers keep the credits they bought. The Terms say existing credit balances are always honored at the rate they were purchased.
Yes. A new account starts with 100 free credits and needs no card, so you can connect your agent and run real lookups before you buy.
Each workspace has one credit balance, so credits you already have stay there and the new ones are added to them. A workspace that already has the lifetime deal cannot buy it again, and checkout tells you so.
Paying
By card, through Stripe. Other methods, such as bank debits, are not offered. Each payment's receipt is in your dashboard under Billing, then Payments.
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds on credit packs except where required by law or at our sole discretion in cases of demonstrable billing error. See the Terms.
Credits
Your lookups stop and nothing is charged. You can buy more any time: top-ups are priced by pack size ($10 / 1,000, $80 / 10,000, $600 / 100,000), which works out to $0.006 a credit at the top pack, and they add to the same balance. Automatic top-ups and a monthly spend limit are optional.
Every result shows what the lookup cost and what is left, checking your balance is free, and Billing, then Credits in the dashboard shows it too.
Each lookup costs a fixed price from the credits table, and every key has a limit on how fast it can go. The workspace owner can set a monthly spend limit, and you can remove a key at once. The spend limit is soft, so lookups running at the same moment can pass it slightly.
You are not charged. The credits section lists the few cases that are billed, such as empty and partial results.
Using it
Yes. The credits belong to your workspace and everyone in it spends from the one balance. Owners can also set the monthly spend limit and automatic top-ups, owners and admins can buy more credits, and members can spend them. Clients see only the websites you give them and spend no credits.
Claude and ChatGPT use the RankParse connector, which only reads data. Claude Code and Cursor use a key from your dashboard, which also unlocks rank tracking, Search Console, Google Ads, page submission and outreach. Codex and Grok follow each vendor's published settings, but we have not run either one end to end. ChatGPT's custom connector needs Developer mode, which needs a paid ChatGPT plan.
A key is a password your tools use to reach RankParse. You do not need one to use Claude or ChatGPT, which sign in instead. For other tools, create one under Dashboard, then Keys. It starts with rp_, is shown once and spends your workspace's credits. Members make their own keys, and owners and admins can see and remove all of them.
60 requests a minute for each key. Over that you are asked to wait and are not charged, and a bulk lookup is one request for up to 50 websites. Page speed checks are capped at 50 a day for each person, and Google Ads keyword research at 100.
Outreach never does. When your agent launches a campaign through RankParse, the emails go to your approval inbox, where you read every one and approve. Page submissions ask first by default, and you can set a website to automatic. Outreach is in beta and sends from your own Gmail on a schedule with a daily cap. A script that calls RankParse directly with your key acts as you, and LinkedIn messages through Zeekeo do not go through the inbox, so confirm with your agent before it sends any. Data and limits
Our link data is refreshed every quarter, so it is a snapshot and not a live feed. Page checks, technology detection and site health are fetched live each time, and rank tracking is as fresh as your last sync.
It does not run live Google result checks: rank tracking shows stored Google, Bing and Yandex results synced on a schedule. Keyword research gives volume and competition from your own Google Ads account, not rankings. Link velocity, new links and lost links are not available yet.
It can stand in if you mainly use them for backlink data, through your agent or your own code. If your team works in their dashboards every day, keep them. The note on when they are the better choice says who each one is for.
The Terms let you use the data to build products, run research, enrich datasets and power automated workflows. You may not resell raw results as a standalone data product, build a service that directly competes with RankParse's own data service, or get around the speed limits. Client access and branded reports are product features, described under teams.
